Cairo International Airport Terminal 1 is Closed for Major Renovation
With Terminal 1 undergoing renovations, Terminal 3 has been prepared to accommodate its flow of travellers.
The Cairo International Airport has major plans for renovations, and it’s starting them off with Terminal 1, which has just been closed indefinitely to prepare for the work to come.
The flow of travellers that normally goes through the first terminal will be redirected to Terminal 3 in the meantime.
The project is part of a bigger plan to renovate the airport as a whole. Earlier this week, Cairo International Airport signed an agreement with Singapore's Changi Airports International, an award-winning airport, to improve the passenger experience and launch a feasibility study for ‘Cairo Cargo City’, a new area at the airport which would be dedicated to cargo and logistics development.
