Cristiano Ronaldo is Now a Fighting Game Character
Players will be able to play with the Al Nassr FC star in ‘Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ starting April 24th.

Ballon d’Or winning football titan Cristiano Ronaldo is now a playable character in SNK’s newest 2D fighting game, ‘Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’. Players will be able to play as the Portuguese Al Nassr FC star starting April 24th.
SNK revealed Ronaldo's inclusion with a new gameplay trailer, in which Ronaldo demonstrates an impressive series of kicks, the ability to shift stances and hit his opponents with a football, and of course, a finishing move that closely resembles his signature ‘SIU’ celebration.
‘Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ will be among the games included in this year's Esports World Cup in Riyadh.
In April 2022, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) acquired a 96% stake in Japanese game developer SNK. Since then, SNK’s properties - particularly the long-running ‘King of Fighters’ franchise - has seen a mainstream resurgence, such as with the inclusion of its characters as guest stars in Capcom’s ‘Street Fighter VI’.
Recently, the PIF has a 4.19% stake in Nintendo, a 6.6% stake in Capcom, and acquired Pokemon Go developers Niantic for USD 3.5 billion.
The only question left is - what will Ronaldo’s matchups look like? Will he surely be top tier?
