Daylight Saving Time Will End on October 30th
The Egyptian government reintroduced daylight saving time in spring 2023. The decision was made to help reduce energy consumption in the summer.
Daylight saving time in Egypt will end on October 30th, 2025 at 11:59 PM. The clock will be turned back one hour, meaning that at that moment, the official time in Egypt will become 10:59 PM.
The Egyptian government officially reintroduced daylight saving time in spring 2023, eight years after it was initially abandoned. The decision was made to help reduce energy consumption in the summer.
As of the time of this writing, the Egyptian government's policy on daylight saving time is to start it on the last Friday of April, and to revert to the standard time on the last Thursday of October of each Gregorian year. Under this system, next year's daylight saving time is expected to begin on April 24th, 2026.
