Dubai RTA Raises Minimum Fare for Taxis Booked Through Apps
On weekdays (Monday to Thursday), peak-hour trips will now carry a booking fee of AED 7.50.
Dubai’s taxi e-hailing fares have been updated for trips booked through smart apps, with a minimum fare now set at AED 13. On weekdays (Monday to Thursday), peak-hour trips carry a booking fee of AED 7.50, while off-peak trips cost AED 4 and night trips AED 4.50. Flagfall charges range from AED 5 to AED 5.50 depending on the time of day. Fridays follow a similar pattern, with peak trips costing AED 7.50, off-peak trips AED 4, and night trips AED 4.50. Weekends have the same structure, with slight variations in flagfall between AED 5 and AED 5.50 during peak hours. Dubai's RTA confirmed that these changes apply only to app bookings, so fares for taxis hailed directly on the street remain unchanged.
