After closing its doors in 2017, Dubai’s Jumeirah Zoo will be reopening as part of the second phase of an initiative to preserve cultural and archeological heritage sites in Dubai from the 1960s to 1990s.
Established in 1967, the zoo is over 50 years old - the oldest on the Arabian Peninsula. It closed down seven years ago for the opening of Dubai Safari, which houses over 3,000 animals transferred from the old zoo.
