'Dune' Filmmakers to Lead Masterclasses in Abu Dhabi
Organised by Creative Lab and the Abu Dhabi Film Commission, the sessions will cover key aspects of filmmaking from creative development to physical production.
Leading Hollywood filmmakers behind the ‘Dune’ franchise will host a series of masterclasses in Abu Dhabi, bringing behind-the-scenes craft and expertise to local creatives and film professionals.
The programme spans two days and features six masterclasses led by Oscar-winning experts, with sessions offering practical insights from high-profile practitioners. The workshops will be led by Dune’s Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette, alongside Legendary Entertainment executives Herb Gains, Executive Vice President of Physical Production, and Sam Kozhaya, Executive Vice President of Operations and Corporate Development.
According to Creative Lab, the series is organised in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Film Commission and will explore core areas of filmmaking, including creative development and physical production.
The Media Office of Abu Dhabi also stated that the emirate will again be featured as a principal shooting location for the next chapter of the Dune franchise.
