EGP 1.2 Billion Recovered in 45 Days From Electricity Thefts

The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy reported that approximately EGP 1.2 billion in outstanding electricity bills had been collected over the past month and a half, primarily through the imposition of fines on violators. During the announcement, the ministry emphasised its commitment to continuing its crackdown on illegal practices and expanding the installation of legal metres, in order to minimise theft and improve operational efficiency.
