Ajman's Entire Taxi Fleet Goes Green With 2,274 Eco-Friendly Vehicles
Ajman’s entire taxi fleet now runs on eco-friendly vehicles, including 2,274 gas-powered, electric, and hybrid models.
Ajman has transformed its entire taxi fleet into an eco-friendly force. The fleet, consisting of 2,274 gas-powered, electric, and hybrid vehicles, has already completed over 8.5 million trips.
The Ajman transport authority, led by Omar Mohammed Lootah, has been instrumental in reaching this goal ahead of schedule. Since 2015, the emirate has been at the forefront of eco-friendly technology; in 2022, electric vehicles further enhanced the fleet’s green credentials.
This shift aligns with the UAE’s broader sustainability goals, aiming to reduce environmental impact and set a regional example of leadership in sustainable transport innovation.
