Whether it’s international or domestic tourism, Saudi Arabian travellers are spending more money, travelling for longer amounts of time, and planning their trips further ahead, according to a recent report from Almosafer group.
Dubai is the top destination for a Saudi traveller in 2024. Cairo comes in second, with London coming in third. Other top international destinations include Istanbul, Doha, Bangkok, Rome and Seoul.
As for domestic travel, the most visited destinations within the Kingdom are Makkah in first place, with Riyadh and Jeddah in second and third place. Some increasingly trending domestic destinations are AlUla, Al Taif and Najran.
The average length of a trip for a Saudi traveller is about nine days. Trips last about 12 days on average for international trips, and about five days for domestic trips.
