Egypt Imports 400,000 Tonnes of Food Commodities in One Week
Russia comes at the forefront of supplier countries to Egypt, followed by the United States, Ukraine and Indonesia.

Egypt imported over 400,000 tonnes of food commodities in one week ahead of Ramadan, the National Food Safety Authority announced. This included 1,880 recorded shipments that benefitted over 880 companies.
These imports included 235 various items being sent, with wheat, soybeans and oils being the most prominent recorded imports. Russia comes at the forefront of supplier countries to Egypt, followed by the United States, Ukraine and Indonesia.
Alexandria received the largest batch of food shipments in the past week, with a total of 555 shipments. Cairo comes in second, recording over 382 shipments, while Damietta came in third with over 292 shipments during the recorded week.
