The cybersecurity sector in Egypt is now valued at EGP 15 billion, or more than USD 295 million. These figures were revealed by Mideast Communication System (MCS) CEO Tarek Shabaka during a press conference on the 7th edition of the Future of Digital Countries Summit, which will take place in Egypt in April 2025.
The Future of Digital Countries Summit, organised under official assistance by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, aims to promote innovation and highlight Egypt's regional leadership in the realm of technology and cybersecurity.
The government continues to address cybersecurity threats through initiatives such as the Egyptian Supreme Cybersecurity Council (ESCC), which reports directly to the Egyptian Cabinet, while developing strategies for AI, e-commerce, and cloud computing.
