Egypt’s First Cruise Tourism Forum to Be Held in Cairo This June
Under the theme ‘Navigate Egyptian Legacy’, the Cruise Egypt Forum will gather global industry leaders in Cairo to chart a course for Egypt’s cruise sector.

Egypt’s first-ever national forum on cruise tourism will soon dock in Cairo on June 1st and the 2nd, 2025.
The Cruise Egypt Forum, held under the theme ‘Navigate Egyptian Legacy’, will bring together international cruise operators, regional port authorities, logistics providers, tourism experts, and senior government officials for two days of focused discussion on expanding Egypt’s role in the global cruise industry.
Organised with the participation of the Suez Canal Authority and supported by partners from Europe and the Gulf, the forum aims to explore the potential of Egypt’s strategic coastal infrastructure—from Alexandria and Port Said to Safaga and Ain Sokhna—as key Mediterranean and Red Sea ports for international cruise itineraries.
The forum will feature sessions on port development, sustainable tourism practices, destination marketing, and the integration of cruise activity into Egypt’s broader economic and tourism strategies. An on-site cultural programme will also be offered, including visits to the Grand Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili, providing delegates with a first-hand look at Cairo’s tourism assets.
The Cruise Egypt Forum marks a strategic effort to connect the Red Sea with the Mediterranean through coordinated public-private partnerships, bolstering Egypt’s position as a central hub for regional and international cruise routes.
