Egypt's First Youth Forum for Climate Change to Launch Alongside COP27
The forum hopes to enable young people throughout society to become more involved in the international fight against climate change, sending a message that everyone can do their part.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced plans to organise Egypt’s first youth forum for climate change, as part of the nation’s preparations for the COP27 UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm El Sheikh.
The forum hopes to enable young people throughout society to become more involved in the international fight against climate change, sending a message that everyone can do their part.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, was appointed President Designate of COP 27 last January. Scheduled to take place in November 2022, the COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference is considered one of the most important international conferences to tackle climate change, with member states of the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Climate Agreement coming together to discuss and negotiate the global issues that arise from it.
