Egypt to Receive Seven Million Doses of Moderna & Sinopharm Vaccines
With 14 million Egyptians currently vaccinated, the country’s mass vaccination campaign is on course to hit 40 million by the end of the year.

Providing a shot to the arm of the country’s mass COVID vaccination campaign, Egypt is set to receive five million doses of the Moderna vaccine and two million doses of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine within the coming days, the latter coming as a gift from China to Egypt.
Throughout the summer, Egypt has been locally producing Sinovac through state-owned VACSERA and distributing it to local and African markets, with talks underway to do likewise with the Moderna vaccine.
An estimated 14 million Egyptians have been vaccinated thus far, and the new arrival sets Egypt on the path to hitting a target of 40 million by the end of the year. In the last few weeks, Egypt has also received more than 40 million doses of AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Sputnik , Sinovac , Johnson and Johnson and Sinopharm vaccines.
