Egyptian Cinema Revenues Exceed Half a Billion Egyptian Pounds in 2022
Cinemas across Egypt recorded revenues of over half a million Egyptian pounds, with ‘Kira W El Jin’ recording the highest revenue at EGP 120 million.

With a diverse range of films shining onto the silver screen, ‘Kira W El Jin’, the period action film starring superstars Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abd El Aziz, stood out as the highest-grossing Egyptian movie to date at EGP 120 million, with EGP 100 million rolling in only five weeks after its debut.
Meanwhile, ‘Wahed Tani’ featuring Egyptian comedian Ahmed Helmy came in second place with EGP 63 million. ‘El Ankaboot’, a thriller starring a cast of emerging and established actors including Ahmed El Sakka, Mona Zaki, Dhafer Al Abdine, and Reem Moustafa, hits third place with EGP 36 million.
