Egyptian Composer Hany Mehanna Banned From Appearing on Television

The Supreme Council for Media Regulation referred renowned composer Hany Mehanna to the Federation of Artistic Syndicates, for making inappropriate statements about several reputable Egyptian artists, including Faten Hamama and Shadia, during a recent appearance on a television programme.
The council also ordered all media outlets subject to Law No. (180) of 2018 to ban his appearance until the federation completes its procedures.
