Region’s First Dynamic Autism Learning Model Launches in Dubai
Grounded in Applied Behaviour Analysis, the model adds sensory rooms, life-skills training, speech therapy and flexible classrooms, with 97 in school and 62 in clinical services.
The Dubai Autism Center has introduced a new “dynamic approach” to education and rehabilitation for students with autism, in what is being positioned as the first specialised model of its kind in the Middle East. Designed to move beyond static, one-size-fits-all systems, the model centres on adaptability: shaping teaching methods, classroom environments, and support systems around each student’s evolving needs. At the core of this approach is the idea of a learning environment that continuously evolves. Educational and behavioural plans are regularly adjusted, while classrooms are modified to respond to sensory sensitivities. This is supported by purpose-built facilities, including sensory integration rooms, life-skills training programmes, and speech therapy spaces, all woven into interactive, play-based settings. Grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the model combines established therapeutic frameworks with flexible tools to create highly personalised programmes. At present, the centre supports 159 children, with 97 enrolled in its integrated school and 62 receiving specialised clinical services.
