Emirati citizens can now renew their passports instantly at UAE airports, thanks to new self-service kiosks installed at key terminals. The service is designed for travellers who discover their passports are expired or about to expire just before departure, allowing them to complete the renewal process on the spot without leaving the airport.

The kiosks are equipped to process renewals in a matter of minutes, providing a printed passport ready for immediate use. This initiative aims to streamline travel for Emiratis, reducing the risk of missed flights due to last-minute passport issues.

The new service is available at major airports across the UAE, including Dubai International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport. The kiosks are located in easily accessible areas within the departure halls, and are operational around the clock to accommodate travellers on all schedules.

To use the service, Emirati citizens need to present their expired or soon-to-expire passport and Emirates ID. The kiosk guides users through the renewal steps, including biometric verification and payment of the renewal fee. Once the process is complete, the new passport is printed and issued immediately.
