Five-Star Hotel Occupancy in Riyadh Reaches 97% Amid Tourism Spike

Occupancy rates in Riyadh’s five-star hotels soared to 97% during the recent mid-year school break, as reported by the Ministry of Tourism. Citywide, hotel and apartment occupancy exceeded 90%, driven by the Saudi Winter events, Riyadh Season and international conferences.

To further boost the tourism sector, the ministry said it was streamlining the process of licensing hospitality facilities, aiming at improving services offered to both local and international visitors, whose numbers exceeded 10 million in the first half of 2024.
