Football fans in Saudi Arabia made over 5 million football-related inquiries to Alexa in 2024, with significant engagement across both local and international football topics, according to data from Amazon.

Among local clubs, Al Hilal led the way, with four times more Alexa interactions than Al Nasr, frequently requesting updates about match schedules, scores and players. Al Ittihad also ranked high in popularity.

Globally, Barcelona was the top queried international team, followed by Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Cristiano Ronaldo remained the standout player, with over 150,000 inquiries. Other players, including Salem Al-Dawsari and Neymar, also drew notable attention.

The Saudi national team received over 200,000 questions about their matches and scores, with Alexa providing real-time updates during games. The Al Riyadh Derby between Al Hilal and Al Nasr emerged as the most asked-about match, with five times more inquiries than El Clásico (Barcelona vs. Real Madrid), underscoring the importance of local rivalries.
