Global Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures Lands in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) is set to host the 2nd International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures 2024 (ICASF ‘24), taking place from December 11th to 12th, 2024, at the Ritz Carlton in Abu Dhabi.

The conference, under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, is a significant platform for addressing the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges, aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Themed ‘Innovation and Digital Transformation for Sustainable Futures,’ ICASF ‘24 will bring together over 65 esteemed keynote speakers, panelists, and experts from more than 90 countries, including high-profile academics, diplomats, industry leaders, and policymakers. The event will feature seven panel discussions and 52 parallel sessions, focusing on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital technologies, and innovation in creating resilient, future-ready communities.

Notable topics include ‘AI-Driven Innovation for Sustainability,’ ‘Empowering Women in the Digital Age,’ and ‘Data Science for Sustainability,’ offering valuable insights into the integration of digital advancements with sustainable practices across sectors such as education, health, finance, and green technologies. Additionally, the conference will explore the financial implications of innovation and its impact on education, business, and governance.

A highlight of the conference will be the announcement of the Conference Best Research Paper awards, celebrating outstanding research in areas like green technologies, AI, and corporate social responsibility. Furthermore, ADU will sign four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with strategic partners to foster knowledge exchange and advance collaborative research, further strengthening the UAE's leadership in sustainability and innovation.
