Golden Visa Opportunity for Volunteers Now Available in the UAE
You may be eligible for a 10-year Golden Visa through dedicated service hours or significant financial support.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) of the UAE has announced a significant update to the Golden Visa program, extending eligibility to volunteers.
The Golden Visa is a long-term residence visa which enables foreigners to live, work or study in the UAE while enjoying exclusive benefits. The visa permits residency for up to 10 years, and provides a pathway for long-term residency in the country
Under the new guidelines outlined by the ICP, individuals who have made substantial contributions to volunteerism, either through dedicated service hours or significant financial support, are eligible for the Golden Visa.
There are a number of platforms facilitating volunteering, donating, and community engagement. These include Volunteers.ae, the Emirates Red Crescent, the National Volunteer Program for Emergencies, Crises and Disasters, amongst others. These platforms provide a range of programmes for individuals keen on volunteering, as well as training courses and welfare initiatives.
