Grand Egyptian Museum’s Opening to Stream Live on TikTok
TikTok will livestream the Grand Egyptian Museum’s November opening, offering exclusive content, interactive features, and global reach as Egypt boosts its digital cultural presence.

United Media Services has partnered with TikTok to broadcast the Grand Egyptian Museum’s opening live to audiences around the world this November. The collaboration includes a TikTok LIVE stream of the event, supported by interactive features such as custom filters, themed effects, and an Egypt-inspired CapCut template designed to engage users globally.
As part of the rollout, exclusive content will be produced, including 'Night at the Museum', where international creators will explore the site after hours alongside local experts. TikTok users will also gain access to effects inspired by symbols like pyramids and scarabs, encouraging active participation across the platform.
Executives from TikTok and United Media Services finalised the agreement in Cairo, presenting the digital strategy to media and stakeholders. With sponsors including EgyptAir, the National Bank of Egypt, and Hassan Allam Holding, the initiative underscores Egypt’s growing investment in cultural diplomacy.
