Grand Mosque Now Features Robots & AI to Enhance Visitor Guidance
About 52 screens inside and outside the Grand Mosque have been installed to make tailored guidance content more accessible.
The Makkah Grand Mosque is about to get ahead into the future with the implementation of emerging AI and digital technologies, which will offer guidance and counselling to visitors and pilgrims to the holy site.
So far about 52 screens inside and outside the Grand Mosque have been installed to make tailored guidance content more accessible. Available 24/7, this content is curated by a specialised team of religious scholars, with the technology able to adapt the guidance to specific circumstances.
A robot is also at hand for a more personable touch, offering pilgrims with essential brochures and publications relevant to their rituals, as well as information that users can access and share over their phones. The robot is also able to navigate various areas throughout the Grand Mosque.
