Guinness Record Set for Largest Off Road Production Car Convoy in Hail
Jointly organised by the Saudi Tourism Authority and Hail Region Development Authority, the attempt met Guinness standards with GPS tracking and route adherence, earning official certification.
A Guinness World Record was set in the Hail Region for the largest off-road production car convoy after 501 vehicles traversed a 7 kilometre unpaved desert route in the historic Tuwaren area northwest of Hail on January 17th, 2026, under the patronage of Emir of Hail and Chairman of the Board of Hail Region Development Authority Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad.
The event was jointly organised by the Saudi Tourism Authority and the Hail Region Development Authority, sponsored by the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority and Culture House, and supported by 14 government entities, including the Principality of Hail Region and the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.
According to the organising bodies, the convoy met all Guinness World Records requirements and standards. These included strict adherence to the designated route without stopping or deviation and the use of GPS tracking systems, which led to official certification of the world record.
