Hayy Jameel’s ‘Ramadan Nights’ Return With Month-Long Celebrations
The month-long extravaganza includes pop-up bazaars, interactive workshops, film screenings on Saudi heritage and more.

Hayy Jameel, the Jeddah-based cultural hub, has just unveiled plans for its second iteration of ‘Ramadan Nights’, a month-long celebration that will feature pop-up bazaars with regional and local brands, interactive workshops, film screenings tackling Saudi heritage, board games and more.
Although the full program is yet to be announced, here’s everything you can expect during the first week of the upcoming festivities from March 2nd to the 8th.
The event kicks off with ‘Jena Al Eid’, a three-day bazaar at Fenaa Hayy, organised by Saba Event Management from March 2nd to the 4th. The bazaar presents a wide array of products to shop from within a family-friendly atmosphere.
From March 6th to the 8th, the festivities continue with another bazaar, titled ‘Ramadaniyat Lavender,’ at Rukn Hayy, offering a Ramadan-inspired collection of food and clothing from various vendors.
If you’re a cinephile, you’re in luck! A series of short films, under the title ‘My Heritage’, will be screened at Hayy Cinema every weekend, from Thursday to Saturday, until March 22nd. These movies will shed light on traditional handicrafts, the relationship of local communities, its cultural practices, memories, crafts, and the current relationship of young people to the site.
Lastly, for the gallery gurus, two exhibitions are set to commence. The first one, dubbed ‘Thread Memory: Embroidery from Palestine’, will be on view until April 17th, featuring a collection from the Palestinian Museum in Birzeit. The second, titled ‘We Saw an Endless Cycle’, will also run until the same date. This exhibition is inspired by a poem of the same name by artist Seher Shah.
Hayy Jameel’s ‘Ramadan Nights’ is free and open to the public, and all events will be running from 9:30 PM to 2 AM except ‘My Heritage’ film screenings, which begin at 10 PM. RSVP is required via Hayy Jameel’s official site. For the full program, make sure to keep tabs on their official website and Instagram account for further announcements.
