Ready to get that gold? Well, virtually, at least. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to host the inaugural Olympic Esports Games in 2025 as part of a 12-year partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Set to be held in Riyadh in July and August of 2025, the inaugural games will feature 2,500 gamers competing for grand prizes totaling USD 65 million. The annual event will showcase multiple virtual sports and video games in a single location, much like the actual Olympics.
