Jeddah Manga Exhibit Celebrates 70 Years of Saudi-Japanese Relations
The three week manga exhibition will highlight the similarities and differences between Saudi and Japanese artistic styles.

To mark 70 years of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan, the Consulate General of Japan in Jeddah will host Manga Hokusai Manga, a three-week travelling exhibit that explores the history of manga through the ages.
The exhibition will run until March 8th and is organised in partnership with the Jeddah Historical Development Project and the Japan Foundation. Starting from 19th century Ukiyo-e master Katsushika, the exhibition will highlight all the historical influences that has gone into the development of the modern, well-known manga format.
Held at Bait Amir Bahar in Al-Balad, the exhibition will also spotlight the similarities and differences between Saudi and Japanese artistic styles.
