Khalifa Foundation Offers Free Travel Tickets to Released Inmates
The collaboration supported 2,821 released inmates in 2025, with 1,983 receiving travel tickets to return to their home countries after completing sentences.
The Khalifa Foundation has collaborated with Pure Gold Group on a humanitarian initiative to provide free travel tickets for released inmates in the United Arab Emirates who are unable to afford the cost of returning to their home countries after completing their sentences.
The initiative is designed to support the social and psychological reintegration of former inmates by enabling them to reunite with their families and communities abroad. The programme aims to ease the transition period following release and reduce the risks associated with financial hardship during reintegration.
The partners reported that a total of 2,821 released inmates were supported through the initiative in 2025. Of these, 1,983 individuals received direct travel assistance through Pure Gold Group’s ticket support programme, with the remainder assisted through complementary efforts under the initiative.
