Lockheed Martin Seeks to Forge Partnerships with Saudi Companies
Lockheed Martin, the American aerospace, arms, defence, and information security company will expand its business in Saudi.
A senior official from Lockheed Martin, the American aerospace, arms, defence, and information security company, has announced plans to forge partnerships with local companies in Saudi Arabia.
This decision comes after the company revealed its intention to manufacture parts for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system within the country. Jason Reynolds, Vice President and General Manager of Integrated Air and Missile Defence underscored the importance of cultivating core capabilities to meet both present and future demands in the defence market.
THAAD, designed to shield against a range of missile threats, was prominently featured at the World Defense Show in Riyadh. Lockheed Martin expressed that subcontracting for the THAAD system will bolster Saudi Arabia's manufacturing capabilities and contribute to the advancement of the nation's defence industry expertise.
