Mahraganat Singer Omar Kamal Suspended by Musicians’ Syndicate
The man behind the hit song Bent El Geran, Omar Kamal, is pending investigation for holding concerts without a permit.

Mahraganat singer Omar Kamal - best known for his hit song, ‘Bent El Geran’ - has been suspended by the Musicians’ Syndicate and is pending investigation, after the singer allegedly held multiple concerts abroad without a permit. The syndicate has yet to announce any details about the investigation.. Egyptian singer Mostafa Kamal, the new head of the Musicians’ Syndicate, has recently applied a set of guidelines to regulate Mahraganat and rap artists, which includes permits for concerts performed outside Egypt. After the investigation, Kamal is expected to either pay a fine, face a temporary ban, or receive a permanent suspension.
