Military Service Documents Now Delivered by Mail in Egypt

The Egyptian Armed Forces is reforming and easing recruitment procedures by offering recruits the option to have recruitment transaction certificates and other supporting documents sent to their chosen address.

This decision is part of the General Command of the Armed Forces’ vision to make recruitment services more accessible as recruits are no longer obliged to go to the recruitment departments in person.

The Recruitment and Mobilisation Department in the Armed Forces is set to digitise the full recruitment process, which already has been seen to reduce service waiting times to an average of 15-30 minutes, according to El Watan News.

An electronic system has been launched on their website, which allows all state institutions in Egypt to register the data of young people with disabilities, in order to reduce the bureaucratic, physical and financial burden of going to register in person.

General Command has also implemented recruitment committees, who deliver certificates to two governorates a month, free of charge, so that those with disabilities or special needs have no need to leave their governorate, and can complete their papers and procedures on the same day.
