Ministry of Sports Launches Initiative For People With Disabilities

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched a new initiative offering six months of free membership at youth centres across the country for people with disabilities. This program aims to promote increased access to recreational activities and physical fitness for citizens with disabilities in order to foster a more inclusive society.

The program is open to all individuals with disabilities who register at designated youth centres throughout the country. The free membership grants access to various sports facilities and activities, including gyms, swimming pools, and even adapted equipment for specific needs.

The initiative titled ‘Come Down to Your Center’' was launched in December 2023 through the Central Administration of Youth Centers and Organizations. It’s being implemented in coordination with the youth and sports directorates, throughout the governorates.
