Ministry of Tourism Aims for 675,000 Hotel Rooms in Saudi by 2030

The Minister of Tourism has set a goal of establishing 675,000 hotel rooms by 2030, with 120,000 planned for Riyadh alone. Currently, 475,000 licensed hotel rooms are spread across 4,000 hotels, reflecting progress in the Kingdom’s hospitality sector.

The Tourism Development Fund (TDF) has played a key role in advancing these efforts, supporting 2,100 projects with a total value of USD 8.8 billion. Over the past two years, numerous medium and small projects funded by the TDF have been approved and are scheduled to open, further enhancing the country's tourism infrastructure.

Among the notable developments is the Rixos Resort in King Abdullah Economic City, which will feature 620 rooms, making it the largest sea resort in Saudi Arabia.
