Motorcycle Ambulance Service for Faster Responses Launched in Madinah
The service divides the city into sectors by demand, ensuring quicker emergency access in traffic-congested areas.
A new motorcycle ambulance service has been introduced in Madinah to improve emergency response times and healthcare quality.
The service, launched by Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Zahrani, Director of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s Medina branch, divides the city into geographical sectors based on demand, enabling faster access to emergencies in traffic-heavy areas. Dr. Al Zahrani announced the initiative has exceeded its 2024 response time goals by 110%.
Motorcycles equipped with advanced medical tools provide rapid on-site care, while ambulances remain the primary mode of patient transport. This service is operated by highly trained medical professionals, ensuring swift and efficient emergency response.
