NEOM Launches Sustainable Food Company ‘Topian’

Saudi Arabia’s futuristic mega city NEOM has launched its own sustainable food company, ‘Topian’. With its ‘Future to Table’ concept, ‘Topian’ aims to revolutionize the current global food system by introducing innovative food production solutions.

“Topian is fully aligned with NEOM’s commitment to providing high-quality food products to the market, and promoting food security and sustainability, while contributing to the Kingdom’s self-sufficiency objectives and long-term economic goals,” Dr. Juan Carlos Motamayor, Chief Executive Officer of Topian says.

Topian’s sustainable and innovative food solutions mainly focus on five pillars: climate-proof agriculture, regenerative aquaculture, novel foods, personalized nutrition and sustainable food supply and ESG.

Topian’s solutions are tackling issues mainly stemming from population increase, climate change and the exhaustion of natural resources. The launch has been supported by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in alignment with Saudi’s Vision 2030 goals regarding food security, mitigating climate change and having net-zero emissions by 2060.
