National Elections Authority Launches App for Voter Inquiry
Currently in its trial phase, the app is part of broader efforts to enhance awareness and encourage political engagement.

The National Elections Authority has launched a mobile application for the first time, providing users with access to information on electoral participation and allowing them to inquire about their designated electoral committees. Currently in its trial phase, the app is part of broader efforts to enhance awareness and encourage political engagement.
The initiative was introduced during an educational symposium titled ‘Share Your Voice, It Will Be Heard’, held at the authority’s headquarters in Cairo. The event, attended by representatives from political parties including Mostaqbal Watan, Al-Wafd, Al-Adl, and Misr October, aimed to promote voter participation and accessibility.
The National Elections Authority operates with a 10-member board drawn from various judicial bodies in order to ensure its independence. Board members are appointed by presidential decree, and the Authority’s Board of Directors convenes monthly to discuss and implement decisions, which are executed by the Executive Director and three deputies.
The authority's responsibilities extend beyond election organisation and result announcements. It is also tasked with maintaining and updating the electoral database, educating voters and political parties, and coordinating with international organisations. Efforts to increase voter engagement have included cooperation agreements with ministries such as the Ministries of Culture, Education, Youth and Sports, and Social Solidarity. Additional protocols have been signed with the National Council for People with Special Needs to improve accessibility to electoral information and ensure broader participation across different demographics.
