National Media Authority Forms Supreme Committee for Cairo Media Forum
The Cairo Media Forum aims to foster dialogue and innovation within the media sector.

The National Media Authority has unveiled the Supreme Committee of the Cairo Media Forum, a newly formed body bringing together some of Egypt’s most influential voices in media, culture, and academia. Leading the committee is Abdel Fattah El-Gibali, Chairman of Egyptian Media Production City.
Announced by Ahmed El-Meslemany, President of the National Media Authority, the committee includes figures from institutions such as the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, State Information Service, United Media Services, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the American University in Cairo, and a range of leading private media platforms.
Members of the newly formed committee include:
Essam El Amir, Deputy of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation
Osama Kamal, Media Expert and Member of the National Media Authority
Lamiaa Kamel, Former Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Founder of Narrative Summit
Ola El-Shafi, Media Expert, Editor-in-Chief of Youm7, and Head of Drama at United Media Services (UMS)
Naila Farouk, Media Expert and Head of the Television Sector at Maspero
Hassan Emad, Media Professor at Cairo University
Hussein Amin, Media Professor at the American University in Cairo
Samir Omar, Media Expert and Head of the News Sector at United Media Services (UMS)
Diaa Rashwan, President of the State Information Service
Ahmed Ghoneim, Professor and CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum
Magdy Lasheen, Secretary General of the National Media Authority
Major General Samir Farag, Former Governor of Luxor
Mohamed Hany, Media Expert and Head of Al-Nahar Channels Network
The Supreme Committee will oversee the organisation and development of the Cairo Media Forum, which aims to foster dialogue and innovation within the media sector.
