New Cabinet Aims to Raise Female Employment by 19% by 2026-2027
The Prime Minister announced new employment policies as his government presents its agenda to the House of Representatives.

The newly-assigned Cabinet confirmed that it is working on raising employment rates to ensure female participation in the workforce is increased by 19% by the 2026-2027 period. Additionally, the Egyptian government aims to increase employment rates in the governorates of Upper Egypt by 37%, and by 45% in the border governorates.
The news comes as Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly presented the new government’s policy propositions to the House of Representatives. The House will be given 10 days to vote on the new policy proposals.
