New etiquette guidelines for the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah remind visitors to lower their voices, follow prophetic traditions, and maintain a respectful tone throughout their visit.

New visitor guidelines have been issued for those entering the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, reminding worshippers to maintain respectful behaviour inside one of Islam’s holiest sites. The instructions cover conduct during entry, time spent within the mosque, and exit, with a focus on preserving the spiritual atmosphere.
Worshippers are asked to enter with their right foot, lower their voices, and avoid disturbing others as they move through the space. They are also encouraged to greet the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his companions near the sacred chamber and exit with their left foot while reciting the appropriate supplication.
The guidance emphasises the importance of composure and following prophetic tradition during visits.
