Noor Riyadh Illuminates Riyadh Metro Stations With Light Art
The artworks present Riyadh in new ways across key metro stations, bringing light-based works into daily journeys for residents and visitors.
Selected stations across the Riyadh Metro have been turned into exhibition spaces for light-based artworks as part of Noor Riyadh, enabling passengers to encounter installations while travelling across the city. The works are integrated into station halls and passenger routes, lighting up commutes with site-specific pieces that respond to movement and urban flow.
As trains traverse their routes, travellers pass by installations that present Riyadh in a dynamic way, with each work offering a distinct interpretation tied to its location. The approach extends the festival’s citywide footprint into everyday public transport, allowing visitors to engage with the pieces directly on platforms and concourses without needing to travel to standalone venues.
