Over 5,600 Projects Worth EGP 27 Billion Completed in Upper Egypt
The project included streamlining access to drinking water, sanitation and electricity.

The Minister of Local Development, Manal Awad, recently announced the completion of over 5,600 projects in upper Egypt in partnership with a delegation from the World Bank.
The project included streamlining access to drinking water, sanitation, and electricity, as well as building roads and several urban development projects. The total estimates of the project cost around EGP 27 billion.
Assistant Minister Hisham El-Helbawy also announced progress on several projects in collaboration with the World Bank, including infrastructure projects within the four industrial zones in Sohag and Qena, citing an over 20% improvement in the business environments of Sohag and Qena.
