Paid Holiday For Private Sector Employees During Eid Al-Adha
The Ministry of Labour has announced that the Eid al-Adha holiday for the private sector will span from Saturday, June 15th to Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, with full pay.
The Ministry of Labour has announced that the Eid al-Adha holiday for the private sector will span from Saturday, June 15th to Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, with full pay. However, Wednesday and Thursday, June 19th and 20th, will be counted as deductions from employees’ annual leave balance (21 days).
According to the ministry’s statement, employers have the option to engage workers during these days or select ones, if work circumstances necessitate it. In such instances, the worker is entitled to receive, alongside their regular salary, an amount equivalent to their wage, as per Article (52) of the Labor Law.
The Egyptian Cabinet had previously announced the Eid Al Adha holiday for the public sector from Saturday, June 15th to Thursday, June 20th.
