Petrogulf Records Highest Gas Output Since 1982
Production increase marks the company’s highest output level since its establishment in 1982.
Petrogulf has increased production from its Gulf of Suez fields to around 26,600 barrels per day, up from approximately 17,000 barrels per day during the current 2025/2026 fiscal year. The figure represents the company’s highest output level since its establishment in 1982.
The increase follows a surge of nearly 10,000 barrels per day within five months, driven by an accelerated operational plan.
A new production well, North Geisum North-16, contributed around 4,000 barrels per day, while an intensive maintenance programme across existing wells added approximately 6,750 barrels per day.
The work was carried out using two drilling rigs as part of efforts to maximise output from existing assets.
Petrogulf operates as a subsidiary of the South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company and functions as an investment partnership that also includes the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, alongside private partners Pico and Kufpec.
