Prices of Railway Train Tickets Increased

The Egyptian National Railway Authority revealed a price increase for train tickets on the 'Tahya Masr' suburban lines.

The last ticket price adjustment occurred in June, when the Railway Authority raised fares on its Upper and Lower Egypt lines. Now, the recent price increase affects various categories of train tickets.

Air-conditioned first and second class trains, VIP trains, and air-conditioned Russian trains will see a 12.5% raise in their fares. On the other hand, regular Russian trains, improved 'Tahya Masr' trains and upgraded trains will experience a more significant increase of 25%.

Additionally, an increase of EGP 2 will be implemented on short-distance tickets on all lines.
