Ramses Takes Over Tokyo as 25,000 Exhibit Tickets Sell in One Week

Egypt's iconic pharaoh draws massive crowds in Japan, with 25,000 tickets sold in just seven days for the ‘Ramses the Great: Gold of the Pharaohs’ exhibition in Tokyo. Showcasing over 180 rare artefacts, including beautifully preserved treasures, the exhibition offers a unique glimpse into ancient Egypt's grandeur. 


The event, held at CREVIA BASE Tokyo in Toyosu, runs from March 8th to September 7th, 2025, making it a must-visit for history and culture enthusiasts. ​


Before its Tokyo debut, the exhibition achieved record visitor numbers in major cities, attracting 600,000 attendees in Paris and 500,000 in Sydney. Its previous stops also included the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Houston, Texas, from November 20th, 2021, to May 23rd, 2022, and the de Young Museum in San Francisco, California, from August 20th, 2022, to January 22nd, 2023. ​
