Ramy Youssef's First Animated Series to Drop April 17th
Aside from Youssef, the show’s cast will feature Alia Shawkat, Mandy Moore, Chris Redd, Salma Hindy and Randa Jarrar.

Award-winning Egyptian-American comedian, writer and director Ramy Youssef has dropped the release date for his first-ever animated series, ‘#1 Happy Family USA’. The first eight episodes of the show’s first season are set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 17th, 2025.
Co-created by Ramy Youssef and Pam Brady (who has been a co-writer for shows like ‘South Park’), the show follows the “manically up-beat Husseins - the most patriotic, most peaceful, and most definitely-not-suspicious Muslim family in post-9/11 ‘Amreeka.’.” Aside from Youssef, the cast will feature stars such as Alia Shawkat, Mandy Moore, Chris Redd, Salma Hindy and Randa Jarrar.
‘#1 Happy Family USA’ is being co-produced by Youssef’s own production company, Cairo Cowboy, as well as Amazon Prime Studios MGM and US film industry titan A24. Mona Chalabi, an Emmy award nominee and Pulitzer prize winning British Iraqi journalist, is also credited as one of the show’s executive producers.
Youssef’s latest comedy special, ‘Ramy Youssef: More Feelings’, was most recently nominated for a Golden Globe in January. ‘Mo’, the Palestinian-American series co-created by Ramy Youssef and Palestinian series star Mohammed Amer, has also released its second season this year, following up on its award-winning first season.
