Red Sea Governorate Closes Major Roads Due to Weather Conditions
Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, has declared a state of emergency and issued a decision to suspend classes in all schools and universities in Hurghada and Safaga.
The Red Sea governorate has closed the Hurghada Ras Ghareb Road and Ras Ghareb Sheikh Fadl Road leading to the Red Sea and Minya due to the weather conditions and flooding it is experiencing.

Hurghada experienced heavy rainfall and hail yesterday, as well as some thunder, which resulted in flooding. Emergency teams are now trying to collect and respond to rainwater present in several areas in the cities of Hurghada and Safaga to minimize the damage.
