Salone del Mobile Milano Debuts in Saudi Arabia Ahead of 2026 Edition
From November 26th to 28th, Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District will host ‘Red in Progress', a preview of Salone del Mobile’s full Saudi debut in 2026.

Salone del Mobile.Milano is expanding into Saudi Arabia with its first activation, ‘Red in Progress. Salone del Mobile.Milano meets Riyadh,’ taking place from November 26th to the 28th, 2025 at the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). The event will serve as a prelude to the full Salone del Mobile Saudi Arabia edition, scheduled for 2026.
Designed by Studio Giò Forma, the showcase will transform KAFD’s public plaza into an open-air exhibition, featuring installations from more than 35 Italian furniture, lighting, and interior design brands. A Business Lounge, curated by Lissoni & Partners, will host meetings and presentations connecting Italian and Saudi design leaders, while a lifestyle area will pair Italian and Saudi food and beverage brands to highlight the spirit of “Italian living.”
The event will also feature contributions from Saudi institutions, including a Ministry of Culture space presenting works by local designers and universities, and the Architecture & Design Commission’s ‘Designed in Saudi’ platform, which will spotlight emerging Saudi talent through a curated programme and recognition scheme.
‘Red in Progress’ is part of a broader partnership signed earlier in 2025 between the Saudi Architecture & Design Commission and Federlegno Arredo Eventi, organisers of Salone del Mobile.Milano. The collaboration aims to establish Riyadh as a major design hub within the region and pave the way for a large-scale Salone del Mobile Saudi Arabia in 2026.
