Saudi Arabia Approves New Regulations Covering Duty-Free Purchases
The news comes as the Kingdom tries to align its duty-free services with those in other GCC countries.

The Kingdom’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has approved new regulations that would exempt taxes for travellers purchasing products that are priced up to SAR 3,000 at all sea, land and air ports. Duty-free shoppers may now also purchase a maximum of 2,000 cigarettes.
Furthermore, the Authority has announced that it is now accepting new duty-free applications.
The news comes as the Saudi Cabinet recently adopted a more robust approach to duty-free services, in alignment with those of other Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
